Answer: The 2500 or the 3000 size is more than sufficient. You will need 150yds of 20lb braid. If you prefer to use 30lb braid get the 3000. When fishing inshore make sure your outfit is light and strong. You’ll be casting a lot and you will enjoy the light weight but every so often you will hook a 40+ inch fish. Then you’ll appreciate the Penn drag and a good 7’ graphite rod with a light tip and lots of backbone. -
