Answer: No not at all, very mild when you smell the pot and it fades immediately -

Is this vegan friendly?
Answer: It's cruelty free for certain. Doublecheckvegan says that there's 3 ingredients that may be vegan... Given Aveda is 100% cruelty free, I'd say it's -probably- OK. -
