The Sharper Image PORTAL Window Fan is a decent option for those in need of a window fan. The fan has three speeds and can be used as an exhaust. The installation process is straight forward and the screen does not need to be removed. The CFM is 127 on high. However, the fit for some windows can be an issue and additional material may need to be used to fill gaps. The fan is also not as effective when used in vertical windows. The unit sits flush in the window but the electric cord may make it difficult to do so evenly. The orange hand grips are a useful addition to make moving the unit easier. The fan is fairly quiet but by no means silent. The design has some weaknesses but overall the Sharper Image PORTAL Window Fan is a good looking unit that serves its purpose.
