With its versatile design, this auto fill valve kit includes fittings for a standard 3/4-inch garden hose, 1/2-inch garden hose, 1/2-inch tubing, or 1/2 inch PVC pipe, making it compatible with various water systems. It adds water at a rate of approximately 1.5 gallons per minute, helping to maintain a healthy ecosystem without the need for dechlorinated water. Installation is a breeze, and the valve is capable of maintaining the water level approximately 1-1/4-inch below the horizontal center line of the mounting hole.

Answer: The kit includes fittings for a standard 3/4-inch garden hose, 1/2-inch garden hose, 1/2-inch tubing, or 1/2-inch PVC pipe. -

Answer: No, the auto-fill valve operates with regular water and helps maintain a healthy ecosystem. -

Answer: Trickles like a toilet float. Not sure that it is accurately measured in GPH. -

Answer: Yes it is plastic and will crack. -

Will this work if installed on the lid (top) of the container rather than the side?
Answer: Not if you want to close the lid. I wouldn't recommend fastening it to the top as it won't fasten on top unless you jury rig something to it. It already has a threaded nut on the end so you can secure it to the side of the container for easy installation. I would also recommend buying a rubber washer for a better seal. -

Will this connect to a garden hose?
Answer: Yes. That's where I've been using it for 3 years. -
Question:
Recommended water pressure?
Answer: The manufacturer doesn't list the recommended water pressure but the maximum water pressure is 100 PSI. -
Question:
Is the pivot wing nut and bolt stainless and what PSI is it rated for?
Answer: I see the brass reducer but actually it's all plastic on my unit I checked ked it before I wrote this text!! The brass reducer used is outside whatever you were trying to fill it accepts the hose and reduces it to the size of the float. These are great little units very reliable! -
Question:
If I am attaching this to a skimmer and need to drill a hole to attach this, what size hole do I need to make?
Answer: The kit came with several different connectors, but is basically a 1/2 inch male threaded pvc coupling.
