Answer: Is there a market in fake Escoda brushes? Really????? I have 4 of their travel brushes as well as some that stay at home, all very good. Surely the users of good travel brushes aren’t numerous enough to justify manufacturing fakes? -
Question:
What is the difference between a round and a pointed round?
Answer: A pointed brush is more versatile as you can do lines as well as ice curves. A round brush is used more for larger painting of items. A pointed is more useful if you already have flat brushes. -
Question:
Will this fit into a WInsor Newton Field Box Kit?
Answer: If the Winsor and Newton Field Kit you reference is the dark blue one whose cap may be used as a small water cup, and which also accommodates a small plastic water canteen, then no, the escoda pocket brush, even the size two, will probably not fit. -

Does the brush go back into the cap easily, after using, or is it a nightmare with hairs becoming bent or splayed?
Answer: I let it dry, then shape it with wet fingers to slide it into the cap, otherwise the hairs splay out and get caught. -
Question:
The cases on mine are oxidizing, how do I clean the case without damage, what should I use?
Answer: I haven’t had this problem (and I have 7 Escoda travel brushes, Reversa, Perla & Versatil), however, if I did see that happening, I would try a little Tarn-X on a soft cloth. It can be used on just about any type of metal. -

Which size and shape do you recommend for watercolor beginner? I got #10 round Da Vinci and it is bigger than I thought and hard to control?
Answer: A great brush will become your best friend when painting. I'd recommend the Richeson 7000 'Quiller' round brushes, and a size 10 is a good size to start. -
Question:
How long is the brush in full length, in particular the #10 or #12? Is the feeling comparable with a normal watercolor brush?
Answer: I purchased 9 of this type of brush, the majority in Escoda Reserva #12, #10, #2, #4, #6, two are Isabey #4 & #6 (LOVE), One Escoda Perla #10, and one Raphael SoftAqua Quill #6 and love them all.
