SMALLRIG Camera Mounts & Clamps Editorial Review

The SMALLRIG Universal Phone Tripod Mount has garnered a mix of feedback, with customers primarily praising its sturdy build and versatility in video filming. Users appreciate the mount's performance for providing steady shots, whether for video recording or time-lapse productions. Many customers have noted its compatibility with various Sony and Osmo camera stabilizers, enhancing their filming experience when pre-reviewing footage. The mount is designed to hold phones securely, with a strong grip that particularly benefits larger models like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. However, reviews indicate that while the overall quality is commendable, some users are concerned about the fit for larger or cased smartphones, such as the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The tight opening could be problematic, potentially making it difficult to use with a case, or with future larger phone models. Additionally, some users experienced issues with the mount occasionally slipping from the cold shoe, which required an adjustment to maintain stability. Overall, while the SMALLRIG Universal Phone Tripod Mount is well-received for its durability and functionality, the design may need to adapt to accommodate modern smartphone sizes more effectively. **
