The product is a tablet stand with adjustable arm length and angle. The Q&A is mixed with some customers reporting that it holds their heavier tablets with cases just fine. However, others are concerned about stability and report that it becomes top-heavy if the arm is not extended straight out. A few customers have reported issues with the ring behind the pad breaking and tablets not being held securely. Although one customer has suggested using the long charger to pull it upward as a solution. The joint adaptor did not work for one customer. The clamp depth is 5/8" and it should work with an Otterbox case. Overall, the product is considered to be a great concept but not well made by some customers.
