    Answer: These are #12 shade for high amp welding. They are glass, I've never seen plastic used in welding shades as the spatter would render it useless quickly.

    Answer: Unfortunately these are not additive in that manner.

    Answer: Yes, it works pretty well for me.
  • Question: Is this adequate for flux core welding?

    Answer: Shade 12 is a dark enough shade to use for flux-core welding, this is a fixed shade lens and will be at shade 12 all of the time. Thank you for your question!
