The product comes with a two paint coat requirement and the base paint matches pretty well. However, some users have complained about the Pearl on top not matching well with their car's color. This product includes a secret sauce/liquid that works well to lift off excess paint and users have been able to completely remove what was put on. One user stated that the color match is perfect and another user found the U-tube video plus written tips very helpful in avoiding mistakes in applying the product. However, some users have noted that color touch up kits can be challenging, and that matching a color is always going to be a challenge. Some users have also found that the kit does not work for their car's color and that the paint was way off. Despite these concerns, some users did find that the touch-up paint was a perfect match to their Subaru's paint, preventing rust and hiding scratches and rock chips on their vehicle.
