The DEWALT DWS713 is a non-sliding miter saw with a great cutting performance, capable of cutting a 4x4. It comes with a vertical clamp to hold wood and can cut a 2" x 6" dimensional lumber cross-cut capacity at 90° and 2" x 4" dimensional lumber at 45°. However, a separate blade is required for cutting metal and PVC. The mounting holes provided in all four feet facilitate bench mounting. The saw is lightweight and easy to maneuver around a work area, and has great alignment straight out of the box. The critical parts are mostly metal, and it has lots of safety features. Users are happy with its performance, it's great for trim work and cutting molding. However, it lacks fancy features such as a laser aligner and is limited to straight cuts across 6" nominal boards and 45-degree cuts in 2x4s.
