How can you fit D cell into this?
Answer: D-cells don’t fit. You might be able to jury-rig it with a quarter or something to charge one D-cell at a time. -

Answer: Yes this charger will charge the 3.6v 4.9a 18650b protected li-ion battery -

Answer: This product displays charging information on the LCD display. The backlight automatically turns off unless it is operated for 2 minutes If you want more energy saving, turn off when you press and hold the middle switch for about 1.5 seconds. -

Will this charger work if the USB power source is only 5v 1a?
Answer: It works, it's just slow to charge. I will say that it does need to be a real 1a. I've tried with some cheapo 1a ones that weren't quite enough current. Apple 1a chargers seemed to work ok, if slow. Also at that current you can't use the higher charging mode, especially if you are trying to charge two batteries together. If so get a 2.5 amp charger and your golden.
