Durabak Body Paint Editorial Review
Durabak is a polyurethane coating that is durable and protective, making it suitable for various applications such as painting the roof of a houseboat, covering truck beds, painting boat decks, and refinishing aluminum decks. It comes with a hardener that is air-activated, and once mixed and applied, the product dries fast to a robust and durable finish. The product is fire-resistant and anti-skid, making it great for houseboat roofs where grip is needed. One of the significant benefits of this coating is that it bonds to itself, allowing it to be easily touched up and making it great for when more than one coat is required. It can also be over-coated with other urethane coatings, although you'll lose some of the protective value, scratch-resistance, and flexibility of Durabak when you do. Although durability and protective value are this product's strength, the can's shipping design and products handling have room for improvement. Many customers complained that it was tough to open the container, with the lid sticking to the hardened material. Others complained that the wording on the container was illegible, making it tough to follow the application instructions. Additionally, some buyers didn't get a roller or received the wrong type, rendering the application process difficult. However, the product's overall effectiveness makes it a good investment if you're looking for a durable and protective coating.
