To successfully use the programmer, users need to download and install drivers and will update their device the first time they use it before removing unknown errors that relate to write permissions. Users who need to work with older saved e-prom program files can do so, provided the ROMs do not have a lock bit enabled. Although cross-validated with Pocket Progammer II, the device is not capable of reading known good 27C128 eproms. Despite this limitation, customers have found other applications for the programmer.
