The Turtle Beach Recon 70X Gaming Headset is a versatile headset for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, with a 3.5mm connector and 40mm speakers. The flip-to-mute mic is unobtrusive and does a great job of picking up sound despite its small size. It also has a lift-to-mute feature which is a useful addition. There is a volume control wheel that is kind of concealed under the earpiece which may not be intuitive but does the job. The cable is 4ft long and the headset doesn’t fold, but the earpieces do flatten out to make it easier to store. It’s important to note that if the controller is off, then so is the headset as it's powered by the controller. There have been some reports of the headset only working on one ear on PS4 and not at all on Xbox, but these seem to be isolated cases. Overall, the Turtle Beach Recon 70X Gaming Headset is a good and reasonably priced headset for gamers on multiple platforms.
