Although it may not be as easy to clean as a box fan, wiping it down with a damp cloth will do the job. The built-in filter cannot be replaced, but it is not much of an issue as the fan blows a lot of wind. One downside is that the fan cannot be hung upside down as it is too big. Another issue some customers have had is that the fan has started making beeping noises or that it stopped working altogether after a few months.
