What type of cable should I use with the UrbanTrapeze 3.0?
Answer: The device is designed for use with 1/8 inch (3 millimeters) 7 x 7 uncoated galvanized steel aircraft cable. It is not advised to use powder or vinyl coated cable as it may reduce the safe working load. -

Can the UrbanTrapeze 3.0 be used outdoors?
Answer: No, the UrbanTrapeze 3.0 is not recommended for exterior use due to its anodized aluminum construction. -
Question:
Q: I inserted 1/8" uncoated cable into 3.0 per video. One side secure but other side pulls through under tension or weight. What am I doing wrong?
Answer: A: If you are using the right size cable and installing it correctly, you shouldn’t have a problem. Insert one end of the cable into one of the movable clamps and push it all the way through the clamp body. Take the same end of cable and run it through the other movable clamp in the opposite direction creating a loop. You will be able to move the cable in the direction it was inserted but it locks if you try to reverse directions. If you need to remove the cable, hold the movable piece inside the main body and you will be able to reverse direction of the cable. If this doesn’t work, you may have a defective device. I have never had a problem. -

Answer: A: Good morning Ty: 3/32 is just shy of 1/8" and our UrbanTrapeze™ 3.0 would be the unit to look at. UrbanTrapeze 3.0 is designed to work with 3.0mm or 1/8" cable. 3/32" is .09375" or 2.4mm. Keep in mind that you may not obtain the full holding power. To help you decide, we are more than happy to send you a sample of the UrbanTrapeze 3.0 to evaluate.
