The food and pit probes are water-resistant, but only their connection to the controller is not. The device is not suitable for use on Oklahoma Joe offset smoker or Primo grill or smoker. Users found the IQ120 easy to use and highly reliable when the probes work, while others found it tricky and confusing to operate. Moreover, the quality of the probes is questionable as one user had a ruined $95 USDA Prime Brisket due to the malfunctioning pit probe.
