The white-colored flex PCB blends seamlessly with white-painted walls, giving your lighting installation a clean and seamless look. With a maximum power usage of 18 Watts (3.5 Amps @ 5V), this LED strip offers high density and brightness, making it ideal for illuminating large areas. Please note that a reliable power supply, such as our 5V 10A supply, is essential to ensure optimal performance. The protocol used by this LED strip requires highly repeatable 100nS timing precision and can only be controlled by microcontrollers operating at a minimum of 8MHz. We provide example code for use with the Arduino Uno/Mega microcontroller, ensuring easy integration into your projects. Please be aware that this product features the WS2812B 4-pin chip LED.

Previous versions may have come with the WS2812S 6-pin LED. Both the B and S LEDs can be chained together and are compatible with the NeoPixel Library, giving you flexibility in your lighting setup.     Answer: Try the code provided on http://fastled.io/ if the sample code adafruit provided doesn't work.
  • Question: I don't understand notice above; is it saying its 50/50 you will receive a strip with no wires on it at all, not even power/ground on either ends?

    Answer: The strip is cut from a larger reel. You can solder wires to the end and make your connections.
  • Question: Looking to add programmable, sound-reactive case lighting to pc. Is this possible with this product? What exactly is included besides led strip?

    Answer: Yes, it is possible to use this product in your design project. This item only includes 1 meter = 3.28 ft of led strip.
  • Question: If a 1 meter strip has 60 LEDs and an Arduino Uno can 'only' drive 500 LEDs, what is the problem with using an Uno?

    Answer: If you have a full 5 meter reel with 300 LEDs and you also want to control some servos, you would likely run out of RAM to do everything you need.
  • Question: Does the strip come programmed to a color straight off the bat, or is it something that I must do myself?

    Answer: Yes, the LED strip is RGB, red, green and blue. Each LED is individually addressable.
  • Question: Can I cut the strip into individual single LEDs and use them separately?
