Although the MT50 will not identify if your panels are generating an excessive amount of power, checking the charging time of the battery is one way solar panel performance can be determined. The device is compatible with EPEVER MPPT charger, and it comes without a cable. In terms of installation, one user was happy with how easy it was to install and that it worked well with their 200W 24V solar panel and 3000W pure sine wave inverter, which was providing power to their refrigerators and freezer. Another user found the casing problematic because none of the screws they had matched the screw thread it required, a frustrating experience that led them to strip the casing's internal treads. Although it is easy to use, some users may find it more compact. However, it does provide more information than its competitor, the EPEVER, and was described as being worth having.
