Hensom Firing Accessories SK-03 Editorial Review
This microwave kiln is excellent for glass thermal processing and relatively cheap. Most of the customers enjoy using it, and it seems as though people are creating many fun things with it. However, the kiln does have lower quality aspects and can quickly crack in one or multiple places, and some of the customers did have trouble with their fused glass project fitting on the base it comes with. As a result, an individual may need to buy a brick to put the kiln on to use it. Instructions are not included, which has led some customers to search online for how to use it. Additionally, the kiln requires specific kiln paper to keep the glass from sticking to the base, and sometimes, the kiln paper turns brown, but this does not seem to affect the use of the kiln. The kiln does take a minute or two longer to melt the glass, and the kiln paper turning dark or dark spots on the kiln base does not seem to impact its functionality.
