In fact, one disc equals the absorbency of three super tampons (30 mL), making it ideal for heavy flow days. Inserting and removing the disc is easy. Simply wash your hands, pinch the disc in half, and use a clean finger to push it back and down towards your cervix. Once inserted, you can tuck the disc upward and behind your pubic bone for a secure fit.
Removal is just as simple - hook your finger under the rim and pull straight out while keeping the rim parallel to the floor. Please note that Flex Discs should only be used during menstruation and according to the provided instructions. If you experience any adverse events such as nausea, pain, or lightheadedness, discontinue use immediately and consult with your physician. These discs are not a contraceptive and do not provide protection against sexually transmitted infections (STIs). They should not be used if you have ever had Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) or if you have had gynecological surgery, childbirth, miscarriage, or termination of pregnancy without consulting your physician. Flex Discs are also not recommended for use with an intrauterine device (IUD).
While rare, there is a risk of dislodging or displacing the IUD when removing the disc. If you are unable to remove the disc after 12 hours or experience any adverse events, please contact a physician. Each package contains 12 disposable discs for your convenience. After use, simply wrap the used disc in its wrapper or toilet paper and dispose of it in the trash.
