Does anyone else spin while on the car mount?
Answer: Yes, that sometimes happens. I have my pop socket centered somewhat on my phone to balance the weight so it doesn’t happen now. -

Why doesn't the top come off of this one to put magnet under top when it says it does? Very disappointing. It does not come off. Broke it trying.
Answer: I think this is an older model or a knock-off. Why I think this: The adhesive stopped working after I repositioned it less than 5 times. The top is not interchangeable. I got the same design from the official PopSockets site and it works. Similar pricing. The top is interchangeable (I haven't tried putting a magnet under it). I've moved repositioned the official PopSocket 12+ times between multiple phones with no issues. Just need to rinse it off as instructed. -

Answer: Just the top comes off. But you can get the whole thing off if you want to. -

Will this stick to a rubber case?
Answer: Yes, it sticks well to a rubber case.
