Answer: These are working on EU / UK frequency 868mhz. I have one installed and it is working fine. -

Can this be installed on an outdoor wooden gate?
Answer: If your smart gateway is close enough, or you have a repeater device and it can communicate, it would work. It's not designed for outdoor use though, so it's not waterproof/ weather proof, so it may be problematic. The batteries also don't deal well with UK winter low temperatures.
