TOPENS Gate Openers Editorial Review
The TOPENS DK1000S gate opener comes with everything needed to operate the gate except for the 24VDC batteries. The gate opener has a max gate capacity of up to 1600lbs and can accommodate a 37ft long cantilevered sliding gate. The instructions that come with the unit are not very helpful when it comes to wiring and the batteries should be waterproof or be placed in a waterproof circumstance. If the gate opener moves without pressing the remote, all accessories should be disconnected from the control board, and the remotes codes erased before reprogramming; if the problem persists, there might be a problem with the control board. An instruction manual can be downloaded from the listing page or via their customer support email. Some customers had to fabricate a spacer to lift the unit higher, so it could come into contact with the gate properly. The sliding gate opener works great so far when attached to two rv batteries placed under a fake rock with batteries raised on a platform to keep them off the ground. The customer service and tech support are outstanding.
